  A) Medical advances will save more lives and improve the qulality of our lives
  B) Investment in renewable energies will help avert climate change
  C) Space exploration promises the possibility of off world colonization
  D) Therefore, The future is hopeful because advances in technology will improve our lives

III) The future is hopeful because the young generations are increasingly wary of authority and are committed to changing the future for the better

  A) They are embracing green values and ethical consumerism
  B) They are actively protesting infringements on their civil liberties
  C) They are more informed and less credulous as digital natives
